open call for artists

Practising Togetherness

Open Call for Palestinian artists, cultural practitioners, theorists, curators, and people working at the intersection of education / art / activism

We invite you to apply for the open call entitled Practicing Togetherness for an artistic residency at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw.

In 2026, Ujazdowski residencies will become a space for activities focused on reflecting on togetherness, collaboration, and the relationship in post-human world in the face of contemporary crises. We invite artists and researchers of various disciplines, whose work explores possible strategies of coexistence and regeneration. We are interested in how our everyday practices can become a starting point for building more sustainable and solidaristic futures.

Projects developed within the Ujazdowski residencies often take an intimate, small-scale form, unfold over time, and remain open to process, uncertainty, and failure. While working at Ujazdowski, residents draw on its resources and engage with the surrounding environment, frequently uncovering new meanings through attentive and context-sensitive approaches. Projects developed in collaboration with artists, researchers, and local communities create a space for experimentation, knowledge exchange, and shared experience, both within Ujazdowski and beyond its walls.

We encourage applications from individuals whose practice is based on artistic research, regardless of the medium they use (visual arts, performance, literature, music, etc.).
