  • The Ukrainian Institute is a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Our mission is to strengthen Ukraine’s international standing through the means of cultural diplomacy. We facilitate international connections between people and institutions and create opportunities for Ukraine to interact and cooperate with the world.
  •
  • The residency programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is a curatorial programme addressed to artists and curators coming to Poland from all over the world. We support our guests in the implementation of their artistic projects and encourage them to experiment in the fields of their choice. We understand residencies as a medium for artistic activity that allows artists to seek new ways of presentation other than the exhibition model. We conduct research projects mapping the city, collaborate with local communities, and support the exchange of knowledge. We promote the idea of mobility within Poland and the broadly understood Eastern Europe.
  •
  • The Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM) is a state-funded cultural institution, whose mission is to present Polish culture and heritage on the international scene. The Institute collaborates with partners abroad and initiates international cultural exchange in dialogue with audiences in accordance with the state’s foreign policy. As part of its activities, the IAM has carried out cultural projects in 70 countries across six continents, incl. in Great Britain, France, Russia, Israel, Germany, Turkey, USA, Canada, Australia, Morocco, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, as well as in China, Japan, and Korea. To date, it presented over 38 strategic programmes, seen by nearly 60 million viewers. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is facilitated by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport. For a number of years, the Institute has been supporting international dialogue in the field of visual arts. This seems particularly important at a time when artists’ presence and recognition depends not only on the value of their art, but also its direct impact. The Institute’s activities include exhibitions, promotion of artistic events, initiating and delivering research projects and — in cooperation with international publishing houses — supporting publications. The IAM actively collaborates with foreign partners (curators, art critics, and galleries) resulting in the presence of Polish artists at renowned artistic events and residencies.
  •
  • The Open Place Residency programme grew out of the activities of a self-organized artist’s collective founded in 1999. Open Place Residency is an artists and curators run programme focusing on communication, co-creation, experimentation, and peer learning. Since 2004, we have hosted in Ukraine over 60 international researchers, artists, and curators from Austria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Denmark, Georgia, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Ukraine, US, and Uzbekistan. Open Place supports interdisciplinary projects aimed at expanding the notions of art-making and engaging the new groups of people in the creative process.
