  • Event plan
  •
  • 14:30-16:00 ZAKOLE: Reading meeting
  •
    • Drawing from the experience of building friendly spaces for exchange during walks around the Wawer Bend, we are looking for forms of meeting with texts (and around texts) that allow for experimenting with sharing of knowledge, stories, and observations. During the residency, we practiced ecosystemic thinking and experience, examining literary forms, trying to embody them, and finding personal relationships with various narratives. We want to weave and experience stories together, drawing from our imagination and various experiences of being in the world.
    • The public is invited to join us our temporary, soft base to explore stories about rooting, community, relationships of mutual care, and finding oneself in networks of ecosystem connections.
    • After the meeting, during the remainder of the event, the public will be able to rest at the base, look at the materials we have collected, and also watch and take with them a copy of the zine Wet Archive: our collection of tips to help you observe the entities and materials that create the wet landscape of the Wawer Bend.
      • PLEASE NOTE that the number of places is limited, register at: info@u-jazdowski.pl

  • 14:3016:00 Gosia Kępa and Anka Wandzel: Meeting by the earth
    • Late autumn is a good time to go underground and admire the miracle of creative and life-giving soil. Now, when the darkness is thickening around and the piercing cold forces the bodies of people, plants, and animals to slow down, surround themselves with an additional, soft layer and use the supplies they have previously gathered, artist Gosia Kępa and writer Anka Wandzel invite the public to encounter the earth together and experience it with our bodies and imagination. Talking about the environmental roots of their practices and the behind-the-scenes mycelium that connects them as residents of Joint Field, Kępa and Wandzel will not only let us into their workshops, but also invite the public to reflect on the miracle of transformation that happens every day right under our feet, among the stones, rubble, pipes, and optical fibres, earthworm tunnels and tree roots.
  •
  • 4:008:00 PM Feast with GALAS collective
    • During the meeting, we will discover together what home in its different shapes and forms can be for each of us. It is a space for reflection on a world that often makes it difficult to find peace and settlement, leaving many in a state of in-betweenness.
    • Together we will create a living laboratory of solidarity a shared space where roots can finally find support.
    • At the centre of our meeting is food filled with memories, emotions, and stories. Treat yourself to a banquet with dishes prepared according to recipes from the Joint Kitchen residential workshops and from the fruit of the surrounding land.
