Dariia Kuzmych (Дарія Кузьмич) (Ukraine)
Dariia Kuzmych
is a Ukrainian artist born in 1991. Through works in a variety of techniques, including installation, drawing, video, and text, she's exploring periods of transition in society and their impact on the individual. In her current projects, Dariia is engaged with the various aspects of experiencing trauma and the perception of time.
Dariia graduated from the Fine Art Academy in Kyiv with a Bachelor's degree in Monumental painting and the Berlin University of Arts with a Master's degree in Media art. She currently splits her time between Kyiv and Berlin.
Dariia Kuzmych takes part in an Emergency Residency, a project of monthly residencies for Ukrainian artists, established in reaction to Russia's military aggression in Ukraine in 2022. This residency is organized with the financial support of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in partnership with culture.pl, Zachęta – National Gallery of Art and Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko. Project is supported by Meta Company.

українська художниця, яка живе і працює в Києві та Берліні. Після закінчення бакалаврської програми з монументального живопису в Академії образотворчого мистецтва в Києві, закінчила магістратуру в Берлінському університеті мистецтв у напрямку медіа-арту. Працює в різних техніках, таких як інсталяція, рисунок, відео, та текст. Центральним, що об’єднує ці мультимедійні практики, є фокус на перехідних періодах у суспільстві та вплив цих процесів на особистість. У своїх поточних проектах займається різними аспектами травматичних досвідів та сприйняття часу.
