David Dempewolf
makes formal video art based on select archive materials. Manipulations of film matter lead to changes in the visual and sound experience of the audience. At CCA, Dempewolf completes the a thread to my/your stomach video that replicates the formal structure of Hollis Frampton's experimental film Zorns Lemma: one-second shots of each letter of the alphabet are replaced by words of successive alphabet letters until they completely disappear. The artist will also use materials from the CCA Film Archive.
