Ju Bellard (Switzerland)
Ju Bellard
is a director based in Geneva. She questions today’s world through a reflection on social classes and as her starting point takes her own encounters with people and, sometimes, architectural spaces. Her works are personal or dystopian narratives that always consider the ethics of filming and working with other people. Each of her projects is a new essay, a path of reflection through the surrounding world, the fiction, and the intimate.
Bellard has a degree in decorative arts (CFPAA, Geneva) and continued her studies in image, direction and visual arts (HEAD, Geneva). She often collaborates with film/video/sound artists. Her projects were presented at several festivals, including Rencontres Internationales Sciences et Cinémas (RISC) 2020, AFFR festival film architecture Rotterdam 2018, Dokfest Munich 2018, and Arquiteturas Film Festival Lisboa 2019.
