Karolina Grzywnowicz

a visual artist, using interdisciplinary approach. Her recent works deal with plants in social and political contexts, often of a violent nature. Her practice is research-based, making use of archival materials, interviews, oral history and bibliographic records.

During the residency at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, she continues to work on the project she started in Ramallah: Every Song Knows Its Home a sound archive in which she includes songs sung by members of the Palestinian diaspora that preserve erased and repressed memories of displacement, strengthen their identity. Project will be presented at the exhibition Everyday Forms of Resistance.
