- Olena Shtepura is an artist from Kyiv, born in the city of Nizhyn.
- Primarily, Olena works with painting. In her work, she explores various themes of a personal nature. For example, one of her recurring themes is the essence of womanhood.
- Olena has sought to understand questions of essence, destiny, self-identification, belonging, and the role of women in society.
- The artist also works with graphics. She is interested in the plasticity of the body, the structural or deconstruction of imagery. Recently, she has started an experimental series where she works with graphics on plastic materials. It is this series that Olena plans to work on during the residency.
