Ika Sienkiewicz-Nowacka
Head of the department and Curator
Ika Sienkiewicz-Nowacka is a culture manager and curator. She is currently the Deputy Director for Development at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. In 2003, she launched an artistic residency programme at U–jazdowski. She is a graduate of the Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at the University of Warsaw and holds a European Diploma in Cultural Management, obtained in Brussels. Her interests focus on the role of residencies within artistic and institutional practice. She sees curatorial work as a tool for building creative situations and long-term relationships. She focuses on the process, not the final effect, and supports artistic projects in which she sees the potential for building relationships and connections between artists and the public, art and reality.

Marianna Dobkowska
Curator
Marianna is an art historian, she graduated from the Institute of Art History at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate Museum Curator Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. She has been co-creating the residency programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw almost since its very beginning. She views curatorial practice as a tool/method to build creative situations and relations based on long-term and often international cooperation, blending practices originating from visual arts, performance and social activism.

Julia Harasimowicz
Curator
Julia is an art historian and anthropologist. She is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Art History at the University of Warsaw. She perceives curatorial activity as a form of creative dialogue. She is particularly interested in artistic critical practices and those which reveal general social issues in a microscale.

Bartosz Grauman
Residencies coordination specialist
Bartosz is a cultural researcher and cultural institutions manager. He has experience in organizing and supervising events, managing projects, as well as in establishing and maintaining relations. Additionally, he is interested in the realm of academic cultural research. In the Residency Department, he works behind the scenes of the program: he coordinates the work of the Residencies team, manages and monitores the department's budget, manages long-term projects and works in close cooperation with other U-Jazdowski departments.

Olga Miękus
Coordinator of Artist Residencies Projects
Olga is University of Warsaw alumni in Linguistics, English Studies, and Culture studies of Central and Southern Europe. As a cultural and media project coordinator, she works with artists active in art, music and film, supporting them in producing and promoting their projects, facilitating connections and cooperation, as well as creating unique experiences. Olga also works as an English-Polish translator, specializing in literature for children.
