Artbook by Mikołaj Smoczyński (1955–2009), an outstanding painter, photographer, performer and draughtsman. In his own word, drawing – in the broadest sense – is the most primordial form of human creative expression; it first appeared in the form of stone carvings. But drawing is also an activity that starts in early childhood. In this sense it is a common and universal experience. That is why we can say that it is the most ‘democratic’ art discipline and as such accessible to everyone.
