There is no more "visual" art than photography. The world is seen here as a kind of veil, gaining the intensity of ornament, where every real element becomes a component of a new, artistic composition, losing its life-like purpose and usefulness. The series with dead animals highlights the intention of the exhibition and of Monika Wiechowska's work in general. It is not truly light, the antithesis of interiority and exteriority, nor visibility, invisibility, presence or absence, nor, finally, picturesqueness or strangeness. Yes, all of this exists and can be recognized. But the most important thing remains the sensual beauty of destruction.
