Jazz Around Festival 2024
Two days of jazz, funk, soul and groove at U–jazdowski
This unique event will take us to the world of top-shelf music for the third time, this year it will take place on June 28 and 29. We are pleased to announce that the artists of this year's Jazz Around Festival will perform at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art and its green park surroundings. After the premiere edition of the Jazz Around Festival in the Moszna Castle and last year's edition in the NOSPR and MCK in Katowice, it was time to move to the capital. Ujazdowski Castle, with its historic walls, will become an arena for unique sensual delights and fresh discoveries. During the two days of the festival, we will have the opportunity to enjoy concerts, improvisations, meetings with artists and good company.
Jazz Around Festival presents various varieties of jazz-related music, exploring a wide range of sounds and styles. From funk and soul to electronic experiments, from world music to fusion, everyone will find something for themselves here.
From the very beginning, our idea of around expresses openness, combining different perspectives and traveling through different environments, cultures and genres. Around can also mean exploring different sounds, styles and musical traditions, as well as opening up to artistic and cultural diversity. In practice, it also means not being attached to one festival place, but following the movement and change inherent in this festival.
So far, the Jazz Around Festival stages have featured, among others: Jules Buckley with AUKSO - Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, Theo Katzman, Cody Fry, Dirty Loops, Jazzanova, Anomalie, Scary Pockets, Jacob Banks, Cory Wong, Incognito, The Comet is Coming, Benjamin Clementine, Poluzjanci, EABS, Marek Napiórkowski, Kinga Głyk, Adam Bałdych & Łukasz Ojdana, Cherise, David Ryan Harris. J, Stephen Day, Theo Croker, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Dorota Miśkiewicz feat. Henryk Miśkiewicz, MaBaSo and Kuba Badach, Mononeon, Ole Børud, Kasia Pietrzko Trio with Maciej Kądziel and Andrzej Chyra.
