    • Merata Mita was a pioneering Maori filmmaker, activist, and one of the most prominent indigenous film directors. Her youngest son, who became a film archivist, digs through hundreds of hours of material television appearances and film fragments and combines them with his siblings testimonies, paying homage to his mother while also trying to get to know her.
