Seventeen-year-old Fatima (played by Nadia Melliti, who won an award for the role) is the youngest of three daughters in a French-Algerian family living in the Paris suburbs. She is a good student, dedicated to sports, and has loving parents; on the surface, her life seems idyllic.
-
However, her reality involves a constant balancing act between loyalty to her loving yet rather conservative family, her Muslim faith, and a growing attraction to women—something she fears her loved ones would find unacceptable.

By signing up for a dating site, she begins to explore her sexuality, discover her own needs, and reflect on her identity, particularly after entering into a relationship with a nurse named Ji-Na (Ji-min Park). This relationship brings Fatima both joy and pain, ultimately helping her gain a deeper understanding of herself.
