The Sausage – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

Luzi and Dietmar meet and fall in love in the port city of Kiel. She is a middle-aged secretary with a petty-bourgeois background, while he works odd jobs in Berlin. Both of them go through the motions of the bourgeois rituals they have learned from their upbringing and the media. They attend dance evenings together, and she shows him her allotment garden and photo album. After spending the night together, he starts vacuuming. Eventually, they celebrate Christmas together. Suddenly, old acquaintances of Dietmar’s appear and abduct Luzi to force him to work with them again and return to a life of crime.
