Large-Scale Object Sound Registration System

Aleksandra Przybysz opening 18/09/2026 o 19:00
  • Aleksandra Przybysz’s project develops an original methodology for the sonification of hyperobjects phenomena described by Timothy Morton as operating on such vast temporal and spatial scales that they remain impossible for human perception to apprehend in their entirety.
    • Hyperobjects include, among other things, global warming and radioactive waste. They exist within temporalities that extend far beyond the horizon of a human lifespan. They are also responsible for the end of the world as we know it.
  • Hyperobjects entangle the distant past with the distant future, causing geological time to assume the form of a peculiar loop. They also permeate history and geopolitics, manifesting themselves, among other things, in the extraction of the minerals and metals essential to the functioning of the contemporary world.
