Performances

in the exhibition Far Too Many Stories to Fit into so Small a Box

Far Too Many Stories to Fit into so Small a Box, an exhibition of artefacts and films, was combined with performances based on conversations with artists, curators and others enthusiasts who have participated in creating the history of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. On the indicated days, story was delivered by the performers, who employed artworks as props. The plotline was based on personal accounts, rumors and myths, subjective experiences and allusions that are part of the whispered word-of-mouth history of the place, yet to be written. Sometimes the memory of the eye-witnesses had failed, so viewers had the opportunity to modify the play script to reflect what they themselves could remember.
