- In her guided tour of the Everyday Forms of Resistance exhibition, Karolina Grzywnowicz will focus on selected works discussing refugee experiences. We will talk about the state of exile that necessitates finding oneself in an entirely new, often foreign or hostile environment; exile that often involves the loss of all material objects and documents that would prove identity as “proofs of existence”. We will talk about survival strategies, fragility and strength, the role of witnesses in releasing pain from loneliness, and about care and hospitality as forms of resistance.
