- FURDA is a para-club event series and the name of a show on Bristol’s Noods Radio, both centred on experimenting with soundsystem music forms – an original project curated and produced by Karolina Kobielusz, a.k.a. Hermeneia, founder of Radio Lola
- On 21 November at CCA Laboratorium, the following artists will perform:
- Hermeneia b2b G1 b2b GTTRDMMRNG
- to open the evening, performing together for the first time as a b2b2b trio in the in dub format. Hermeneia creates a bold, unruly patchwork of mutated sounds rooted in old-school dancehall, dub, halftime rhythms and illbient textures; G1 explores trap and industrial strains of music, seeking a “big door-slam” effect; GTTRDMMRNG develops pastoral dub techno and steppers.
- Tapes
- a producer from South London, associated with the labels Jahtari and Honest Jon’s, who has for years been developing his own language of soundsystem music – a combination of skanking energy, the heritage of dancehall and reggae, and post-digital lo-fi futurism.
- REZZETT (duet Tapes i Lukid)
- drawing on breakbeat hardcore, 1990s jungle, Detroit techno and Chicago house, with a dose of shoegaze distortion and worn-tape hiss, REZZETT has created its own sound of club romanticism, which has permeated skate culture. They have collaborate with, among others, TTT x Palace Skateboards and Omar Souleyman.
- Giouann
- co-founder of Tropic Disco Soundsystem and host of Merger, a Berlin series of events. His selector’s sensibility has been shaped at the intersection of intercity routes and local sound systems. A passionate digger of archival sounds, he ranks among the leading European collectors of 1980s dancehall and reggae.
