Mario de Vega
DLA WARSZAWY
-
Mario de Vega’s series of one-on-one sessions unfolds as a performative, remote activation of the work DLA WARSZAWY, presented as part of the exhibition This Cat Was Drawn During the War.
- Each activation lasts approximately 30 minutes and takes place one Saturday a month until the end of August. Detailed information, including dates, times and meeting points, are announced two weeks in advance. Participation requires prior reservation via an online application form.
- The location, script and sound content of each event remain fluid. Within this variability, a new relationship is established each time between the activation, its material result and the work presented at the exhibition. This is an attempt to clarify their common sonic denominator – both within the confines of the exhibition space and beyond it, though not necessarily as an audible phenomenon.

Mario de Vega
-
born in Mexico City in 1979 and based in Berlin since 2008 – is an artist whose practice centres on sound as a semantic medium. His work encompasses site-specific interventions and psychoacoustic situations operating at the limits of auditory perception. Active in the fields of sound and conceptual visual art, de Vega approaches the exhibition space as a point of departure – one that extends outward to engage with conditions and realities that transcend architectural boundaries.
