About the artists:
Oskar Dawicki (born 1971) is a performer, creator of videos, photographs, drawings, as well as objects and installations. Co-founder and member of the Azorro group. He lives and works in Warsaw. Dawicki's works have been presented in many galleries and institutions in Europe and the United States, including Tate Modern in London, Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach, Folkwang Museum in Essen, Hayward Gallery in London, Kunsthalle in Vienna, Kunstwerke in Berlin, Witte de With in Rotterdam, Museum of Art in Łódź, National Museum and Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. Zbigniew Warpechowski (born 1938) is a performer, painter, poet and philosopher of art. Considered a forerunner of performance art in Poland and worldwide. He has given over three hundred performances in Europe, Asia and North America. Member of the Krakow Group and Black Market International. He lives and works in Sandomierz.
Zbigniew Warpechowski received the Minister of Culture and Art Award (1997) and the Gold Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis (2009). The artist's works can be found in the collections of: the National Museum in Warsaw, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the National Museum in Krakow, the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK in Krakow, the Museum of Art in Łódź, the National Museum in Wrocław, the Leon Wyczółkowski Museum in Bydgoszcz.
