residency: January–June 2017

Elisa Storelli (Switzerland)

Elisa Storelli

lives and works between Brissago and Berlin. Within her practice, she wants to interfere with common laws and physical statements that rule the world. Since 2013, the Swiss artist dedicates herself to build a series of apparatuses that stand for the unequal speeds of time. About her research, she says: “What interests me the most for my work are the possibilities to combine or divide different properties of time: the eternal and the instant, the duration, the process, the repetition, the unicity, the flow, the crystallisation.”

In 2014, she graduated from Meisterschüler UdK Berlin, Germany. She exhibited and performed in festivals and exhibitions in Europe, such as ARS ELECTRONICA (Linz, 2012), Club Transmediale – Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin, 2013), and Max Museo (Chiasso, 2016). In 2015, she was a resident artist at Atina Art Residency in Atina, Italy.

This residency is co-financed by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia and the City of Warsaw.
