KinetiCoin
The presented work will be a preview of KinetiCoin, an installation making use of the Ethereum blockchain and involving a principal performer on view for the entire duration of the Open Studio. The performer will lay bare the mechanics of collective creative work via live writing of critical texts and essays projected onto a wall, live research and interviews, audio and sound recording (songs and interviews), dance and movement studies, docenting, and creating horizontality between other works and micro-organisms within the space, as well as connecting with the public and selected guests. The project will incorporate a new method for tracking artistic labour and performance with the use of blockchain technology: through a dedicated issuance of a KinetiCoin based on the Bitcoin and Ethereum protocol. All events in the framework of Open Studio are free of charge.
