Director of the Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius (CAC Vilnius), which he has been co-creating since the early 1990s. He has been an artistic director as well as curator of the Baltic Triennial of International Art since its inception (during communism) until it grew into one of the leading contemporary art festivals in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2009, he was co-curator to X Baltic Triennial – Urban Stories – with Ann Demeester (curator and director of De Appel). Under his direction, CAC underwent significant transformations and developments. The Institution also houses experimental projects corresponding to the dynamics of the architectural spatial arrangements. A project entitled Reading Room was constructed, which eventually gave rise to a bilingual quarterly magazine CAC Interviu "conversations about art” and the television program "CAC TV," broadcast on state television between 2004-2007. Kestutis Kuizinas was also the curator of the Lithuanian Pavilion at the 49th Venice Biennial (2001) along with Deimantas Narkevicius and of the Lithuanian exposition at the 26th Biennial in Sao Paolo (2004). In 2006, in recognition of his curatorial and organizational activities, he was nominated for The Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement. In 2011, he was awarded for the project of Darius Mikšys Behind the White Curtain in the framework of the Lithuanian Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennial.
