Come to Ujazdowski in the summertime!

We would like to warmly invite children, teenagers and adults to the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art for exhibitions, meetings, discussions, film screenings, and artistic and pro-ecological workshops.

Summer at Ujazdowski is an invitation to mindful presence and creative experimentation in search of connections between art, nature, and the world around us and to spend free time in the beautiful park surrounding Ujazdowski Castle.

Around the Castle we’ve hung comfortable hammocks perfect for a nap, reading a book, or simply swinging lazily in the shade of the trees. We’ve sown wildflower meadows insect-friendly and supporting biodiversity. We’ve arranged buffer strips and installed birdhouses.

A newly created rest area, located on the ground floor of the Castle building next to the main entrance, is the perfect place to take a break between your visits to exhibitions or while waiting for friends.

This is our response to the hectic pace of the city here, time flows more slowly.

  • Soil and Friends
  • What can we learn from plants? Can knowledge about soil deepen our understanding of humanity’s place in the world? Why are more and more artists migrating from the field of art to the cultivation of land? How can art institutions consciously support ecological imagination?

  • AI Authority of Art
  • Are we ready to cast our votes for artificial intelligence and let a chatbot represent us? Could the world be governed more wisely under the stewardship of AI? What will happen when artificial intelligence takes its seat at the negotiating table? The creators of the exhibition envision a future in which humans and machines jointly negotiate our shared reality. Is this still a utopia? Art has the unique power to shape the imagination  and artists do not hesitate to use it.
