Bogna Kietlińska‑Radwańska
A graduate of Art History and Sociology at the University of Warsaw and a Doctor of Social Sciences currently completing her habilitation. She works as an assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Social Sciences, University of Warsaw. Her academic interests include issues related to femininity, the sociology of (dis)pleasure, urban sociology and anthropology, visual research, and multisensory ethnography.
She is a member of, among others, the Polish Sociological Association, the Polish Society of Market and Opinion Researchers, and the European Sociological Association. She is a researcher and co‑author of the report Molestowanie seksualne dziennikarek w Polsce (Sexual Harassment of Female Journalists in Poland). She has participated in numerous research projects, including the international FEMETRICS project Visible Women: gender, data, social Europe, funded under the EUI Widening Programme call 2024. She is the author of publications situated at the intersections of disciplines. She is also a member of the research team behind Marne szanse… SPRAWDZAM!.
Dominika Kowynia
Born in Sosnowiec, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where she has worked for twenty years. She currently co‑runs the diploma Painting Studio together with Małgorzata Widomska. She works primarily in figurative oil painting. Her practice explores the intersection of personal experience with current events, contemporary history, and literature.
She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in dozens of group shows. Her works have been presented, among others, at the Stefan Gierowski Foundation in Warsaw (2018); several times at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (Painting Means Blood, 2019; Warsaw Under Construction, 2020; Who Will Write the History of Tears, 2021); during Warsaw Gallery Weekend (2018, 2023); at Foksal Gallery in Warsaw (2020); at the State Gallery of Art in Sopot (Chcemy całego życia, 2024); at the Timisoara Biennale in Romania (2021); OFF Biennale Budapest (2025); at Renata Fabbri Gallery in Milan (2024); and at Polana Institute in Warsaw (2023, 2025). Her works are held in numerous collections including BWA Bielsko‑Biała, the Bęc Zmiana Foundation, and the ING Bank Collection. She lives and works in Katowice.
Sylwia Spurek
Former Member of the European Parliament (2019–2024) and Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights in Poland (2015–2019). A legal counsel and legislator. An expert in law and public policy in the areas of equal treatment, the prevention of violence against women, and gender‑based violence, particularly domestic violence and online violence against women.
An independent researcher, scholar, and author of publications on violence against women. A human rights advocate for LGBTQIA communities. A climate and animal‑rights activist, especially for so‑called farmed animals. Co‑founder of two think tanks: the Green REV Institute and the European FEM Institute. A fellow of the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. Together with Barbara Wołk, she prepared the legal analysis for the report Marne szanse… SPRAWDZAM!.
Agata Stola
A psychotherapist and specialist in addiction therapy, sexological therapy, social policy, and public health. She graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Medical University of Warsaw, and the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies Programme at the Robert Zajonc Institute for Social Studies, University of Warsaw. She is an HIV/AIDS counsellor certified by the National AIDS Centre. An expert at the SexED Foundation and the Social Education Foundation.
For many years she has been involved in prevention and comprehensive sexual education. She is the author of numerous social campaigns, including Projekt Test, Poland’s largest campaign encouraging HIV testing. A media expert and the author of academic publications in sexology and mental health. Co‑editor of the bestselling book Chemsex: a Multidisciplinary Approach. She teaches at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. She co‑founded the SPLOT Institute and is responsible for the psychological analysis prepared for the report Marne szanse… SPRAWDZAM!.
Anna Walewska
An art historian and doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Humanities in the field of Art Studies at the University of Warsaw. Her research interests include new methods of biographical studies, archives, and feminist research. She is responsible for the project Marne szanse na awanse? A Study on the Presence of Women in Art Academies in Poland.
Between 2012 and 2018, she directed the Katarzyna Kozyra Foundation, which she co‑founded. She has curated monographic exhibitions including Katarzyna Kozyra (Katarzyna Kozyra. Solo Exhibition, Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, Beijing), Monika Mamzeta (…I Love You Too, TRAFO Center for Contemporary Art, Szczecin), and Magda Bielesz (Among Medicines I Feel Safe, Museum of Pharmacy, branch of the Museum of Warsaw). She is the author of the book Koleżanki i koledzy. Inżynierska 3 (Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw / Dom Spotkań z Historią, 2024). She is the coordinator and a member of the research team for Marne szanse… SPRAWDZAM! and is responsible for the website szanseawanse.pl and the initiatives carried out as part of the project.
