Crossroads 2026

29th International Festival of Performing Arts Crossroads

The CROSSROADS International Festival of Performing Arts is a curator-driven festival devoted to art as a value increasingly under threat in a world dominated by cynical politics and big business. Art is a sensitive barometer of the human spiritual condition and state of mind. It enables us to look beyond the horizon delineated by the media and the simplified vision of the world they impose. CROSSROADS introduces Polish audiences to outstanding international artists whose work remains largely unknown in Poland and whose practices unfold at the intersection of dance, theatre, and the visual arts. The performances selected for CROSSROADS 2026 offer an in-depth reflection on the human spiritual condition and our attitudes in a time of chaos, conflict, and disinformation. They constitute the artists’ response to the deficit of empathy in human relationships.

CROSSROADS 2026 will present the work of two outstanding artists from Europe and Asia: Finnish choreographer and dancer Tero Saarinen and Japanese dancer Yasushi Kurotaki.

The CROSSROADS International Festival of Performing Arts has been a creative endeavor since its inception, conceived by curator Janusz Marek. In 2026 it will take place for the last time.
