Art Book Fair
Nobody Reads This: Art Book Fair is now establishing a lasting presence at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. It is an event created for art, publishing and design communities, responding to the need for a space dedicated to regular meetings, exchange of experiences and the presentation of creative work in a book form.
Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art invites print enthusiasts, collectors and everyone interested in discovering the richness of the publishing scene. In an era of digital saturation, it offers a moment to focus on the personal and tangible experience of engaging with a book. Nobody Reads This: Art Book Fair also serves as a meeting place for publishers, designers and artists, providing space for inspiration, conversations and where ideas for new projects can appear.
Nobody Reads This: Art Book Fair represents the first step in building a community around publishing practices. On 6 December 2025, a new bookshop was opened at the Castle, showcasing photobooks, artists' books, zines and publications on art in a space designed by an architect Maciej Siuda and a visual artist Katarzyna Przezwańska. The programme of the first edition held in December 2025 included lectures, discussions, film screenings, music events, and workshops aimed at developing practical skills and encouraging own publishing experiments. The event attracted 5,440 visitors, hosted 34 exhibitors and showcased over 60 publications gathered through an open call for self-published artist's books – ranging from art books and photobooks to zines and paper objects.
From 22 till 24 May 2026, the second edition of the art book fair took place in the courtyard of the Ujazdowski Castle hosting more than 70 exhibitors from Poland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and United States. It gathered independent publishers, art institutions and artists who publish their own photobooks and zines. It was accompanied by an extensive programme of events: book launches, workshops, meetings with authors, designers and publishers, a music event and film screenings. The event attracted 7,626 visitors.
The third edition of the art book fair will take place in the courtyard of the Ujazdowski Castle from 4 June till 6 June 2027. Publishers of photobooks, artists' books, zines, unusual book forms as well as publications on art distinguished by their editorial and graphic design are invited to participate. The call will be open to independent publishers, self-publishing artists and art institutions. Admission for the public will be free of charge.
