Nobody Reads This 2026

Open call for exhibitors lasts till 20 April 2026

On 22 May 2026, the second edition of the Nobody Reads This: Art Book Fair will open at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art.

Art book fairs are held in major capitals and leading cultural centres around the world. For a long time, Warsaw lacked an event of comparable scale that would bring together the community of creators, publishers and readers interested in the book as an art form. Nobody Reads This was established to address this gap. Following the opening of a new art bookshop  designed by architect Maciej Siuda and visual artist Katarzyna Przezwańska it marks a new chapter in the activities of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, in which the book has acquired particular significance: both as a form of contemporary artistic practice and as a distinct field of design.

The second edition of the Nobody Reads This fair will run for three days. Participation of publishers and creative practitioners from around the world will foster an environment for the exchange of experience and the development of collaborations that extend beyond the local context. Independent publishers, contemporary art institutions, foundations, artistic collectives, and individual creators will present their publications in the courtyard of Ujazdowski Castle. To join them, apply till 20 April 2026. At the centre of the fair space, an art installation created especially for the occasion by the sisters in type collective designers working at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw  will be shown.

The Nobody Reads This fair will be accompanied by an extensive programme of events. From Friday 22 May to Sunday 24 May 2026, book launches, meetings with artists, workshops and consultations addressing the practical aspects of creating publications will take place.

The event is addressed to the artistic, publishing and design communities offering opportunities to present work, seek inspiration and expand professional networks as well as to all lovers of print: collectors, those interested in small-run publications, and those curious about forms of publishing beyond the mainstream, regardless of age or familiarity with the contemporary publishing scene. It offers a space conducive to discovery, with a focus on form and detail, as well as a respite from the excess of digital stimuli.
