• Norbert Delman will invite for a game of battleships, wherein the masts drawn on sheets of paper will be replaced by living people. A team of spectators will play against a team of employees of U-jazdowski. The game will take place inside as well as outside the castle: one team will be inside the courtyard and the other in the park in front of the castle. How will the siege of U-jazdowski end?
• We invite all those interested to take part in the game, as well as to become better acquainted with the employees of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art.
  • Norbert Delman
    • Sculptor and performer, video and installation artist, graphic designer, as well as curator of exhibitions. Between 2008-2014, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he defended his diploma in the Studio of Spatial Activities of the Media Art Department under Professor Mirosław Bałka. In 2012, for a year, he studied at University College Falmouth in the UK. He also curates experimental exhibitions. He is a co-creator, along with Franciszek Buchner, Agnieszka Delman and Jan Słoniewski, of the Stroboskop Art Space in Warsaw (2016).

• We shall meet the representatives of the movement in a variety of forms. We will be visited by those who love natural movement, animal flow as well as parkour and freerun. We will explore our bodies’ ability to move, in the most primitive movement that exists – natural motion. We will move close to the ground, we will jump, balance, and we will also examine how precise our body can actually be while in complex motion. Workshops for ages 6 and up.

• When singing, we intensively work our diaphragm and upper respiratory tract, body ventilation increases and oxygenates the internal organs – especially the heart and brain. During the breathing warm-up exercises, you may experience a variety of physical sensations: dizziness, pressure changes or the acceleration of the heart rate. These effects are similar to those that athletes feel when they train, or to those that we feel after actively spending time outside. During the workshops, we will learn the basics of breathing and voice emission, which vocalists use to control the vocal apparatus. By using a technique called white voice, participants learn the possibilities of their bodies, especially the vocal aspects. After individual exercises as well as breathing and emission tasks, the participants will also experience what is common breathing and sound, which create a sense of unity with a group, e.g. such as singing in a choir. To participate in the workshops, we invite individuals as well as the representatives of the institution and organization of Jazdów. This will be the second meeting of the Ujazdów Neighborhood Choir. The workshop is the last summer meeting of the Ujazdów Neighborhood Choir, which will take place in full rotation in September.

• There is nothing strange in mixing two movie genres together – horror and comedy – but you have to admit, it is quite unusual for zombies to play football. The dying star of a Parisian team is going to his hometown to play against the local team. However, the greeting he receives from his former schoolmates and friends is more than he bargained for. The French movie – which, like a football match, is divided into two parts – is not just a satire of football culture and its fans. Like many zombie movies, it is an echo of the social unrest that often manifests in the streets of France

On the 26th/08, admission to the ongoing exhibitions inside the Ujazdowski Castle for Contemporary Art is free.

  • Mind the Gap

  • Thanks to the cooperation of Skwer Sportów Miejskich and Szaber Bowl, the capital city of Warsaw has been enriched with a unique skateboarding spot - a big street gap on the Stanisławowska Axis, right before entrance into the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. This is a unique construction not only in Poland, but also Europe.
    • The "Mind the Gap" event, organized by DC Shoes and Turbokolor.com, is targeted at all skateboarders who "want to face this spot, chill and munch on delicious pizza for free.”
  • The Jam will be held in two stages:
    • From noon, a specially prepared obstacle will be placed inside the gap. The session will last an hour. The three best tricks will be rewarded. Techramps is responsible for building the obstacle.
    • After, we put the obstacle to the side and begin the DC Shoes Gap Jam - best trick over the gap. The best trick/s can win you 1000 PLN!
    • In addition, there will be a pizza break (delivered by La Tomatina) for all those participating in the event.
