Biography of the Place – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

The first walk along the Warsaw Escarpment, on which the Ujazdowski Castle is located, will deal with the biography of the place itself. We will trace the history of the Escarpment from geological times, the last glaciation, through the first settlements, to the establishment of the royal gardens. We will look for patina and stains caused by “weathering” – the retention of atmospheric phenomena on buildings and elements of the park.
