Behind the scenes of creating photobooks
On the second day of the Nobody Reads This: Art Book Fair, on Saturday 23 May 2026 at 1:00 p.m., Krzysztof Krzysztofiak, who has worked on more than 140 photobooks will talk about his craft.
How is the decision made about the form of an artbook? What happens between the design and the finished publication? How to communicate with a printer, select paper, and not lose track of the production process? This meeting with Krzysztof Krzysztofiak—a specialist in prepress photography and production supervision for artbooks and photobooks—will explore the behind-the-scenes of book creation: from image sequences and design decisions to test prints and collaboration with printers in Poland and abroad. The starting point will be the practical experience of fifteen years of working on art publications.
