open rehearsal / concert
spalarnia forms an ensemble
Wojciech Kosma, Emilia Gołos, Maja Miro, Aspa Anogiati, Ryszard Lubieniecki, ehh hahah
- spalarnia is a musical project exploring feelings such as: love, pleasure, intimacy, and sense of identity. Poetic avant-pop songs inspired by Polish folk, pop, and dance music are the medium of this exploration.
- Wojciech Kosma, the project’s author, uses sounds and narratives to create personal mythologies as much rooted in Polish tradition as they are queer, secular, and anti-nationalist in their message. During the concert, Wojciech Kosma will perform with five artists: pianist Emilia Gołos, flautist Maja Miro, Aspa Anogiati (Greece) playing the Constantinopolitan lyre, accordionist Ryszard Lubieniecki, and producer of experimental electronic music ehh hahah.
- The ensemble will play classical, baroque, folk, and electronic instruments. The repertoire of musical references will be equally capacious. The concert was preceded by a mini-residency at U–jazdowski, which led to the formation of the band. The concert will be their first together.
