An artist’s novel by Alex Cecchetti in chapters

Alex Cecchetti

was an artist, a poet and a choreographer. Difficult to classify, his work can be considered as the art of the un-representable. The artist died for the first time in 2014 for unknown reasons, though he continues to produce new work, present new performances and publish new poems. Alex Cecchetti has exhibited internationally, with solo shows at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo; Kunstraum (London); Contemporary Art Centre (Vilnius); and Jeu de Paume (Paris). He has also performed at the Serpentine Galleries; the Palais de Tokyo; MAXXI (Rome); Kunsthal Aarhus; Gasworks Gallery; Fiorucci Art Trust; the South London Gallery; Le Mouvement (Biel/Bienne); and La Triennale di Milano, among others. He has also participated in festivals, such as Playground (Leuven); Parades for FIAC (Paris); Un Nouveau Festival at Centre Pompidou; The Museum as Performance at Serralves Foundation; and TBA:12 at Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. Recently, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris dedicated a day in one of the "carte blanche" series for his work.
