Edited by Kazimierz Piotrowski

Wojciech Fangor is one of the most internationally renowned Polish painters. His paintings break records at auction, his exhibitions attract crowds of visitors. He participated in the famous The Responsive Eye exhibition at MoMA in New York, which defined the Op-art. He was the first Polish artist to have a solo show at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. He co-created the Polish School of Posters and co-authored bold exhibition and architectural designs. In this volume, his multidimensional work is discussed by art historians including Piotr Bernatowicz, Kazimierz Piotrowski and Bożena Pysiewicz, as well as Fangor’s friend, the New York-based photographer Czesław Czapliński.
