Performative residencies at U–jazdowski

Iza Szostak, Nagi Gianni

In autumn 2019 two artists-in-residence are working on their performances at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. It is a Polish choreographer Iza Szostak and a Swiss visual artist Nagi Gianni.

Iza Szostak is working on her new piece skaj is the limit which will be on view on 30 November 2019 and 1 December 2019 at the Laboratory building next to the Ujazdowski Castle. Nagi Gianni, however, will transform Activity Room at the Castle into two-hour-long performative installation called Screens, Sand Dunes and the Contours of Your Face. Admission to his performance on 9 December 2019 is free of charge.

During their stay at the Ujazdowski Castle, artists were portrayed by a Polish photographer and a performer herself, Katarzyna Szugajew. They were interviewed by Dominik Skrzypkowski, curator of their residencies. Both photographs and conversations are online at The Residents magazine website.
