Obieg Reader features 27 theoretical texts and critical essays, published as part of three thematic issues: Political Art (No. 19/2022), Art and Community (No. 20/2022) and Art Teaches Nothing (No. 21/2022). The texts included in this reader open up a discussion on the latest artistic phenomena in the context of contemporary cultural tensions.
Obieg is a quarterly magazine about culture and contemporary art associated with the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, published in print since 1987 and now available at www.obieg.pl. Texts included in this reader combine different storytelling formulas and provide new links between the fields of art, culture, and society, dissecting and challenging the current state of global contemporary art.
